Where’s waldo

Forgot to give our location. Sorry mama! Last night camped in the middle of the trail quarter of a mile past poplar ridge lean-to at mile 1976.2.

Practically all shelters are full now because of summer camps and sobos who are averaging less miles. They therefore have shorter days and take all the spots and camp sites. Fine by me. The mosquitoes are vicious and I get eaten alive during the day as it is.

Just 200 to go! Trails shouldn’t be so crowded after today…end of the 4th of July weekend.

Great meeting you at the trailhead in Rangely, ME yesterday (7/6). My daughter, Kaleigh (AKA Magnet) is hiking SOBO and just finished ME. She is taking a 0 day and then will start the Whites. I sent her your blog website so she can read and see what she is going to experience. Have a great hike through Maine. You’re almost there! Say Hi to Dawn, Sue and Dick at Shaw’s in Monson for us (if you go there). Also, Bill and Linda at Whitehouse Landing
